A Key for Optimal Health & Longevity Unveiled!

Deuterium Overview

What Is Deuterium and why does it matter? Deuterium is a form of hydrogen that is often referred to as “heavy water.” Deuterium is heavier than regular hydrogen and has an atomic weight, or mass, that is twice the weight. Deuterium contains a proton and a neutron in its nucleus, whereas regular hydrogen only contains a proton. Heavy water is the name given to the chemical compound H2O with an isotope of hydrogen, deuterium or D2O. Deuterium is an important element in our development and growth at an early age. It becomes detrimental to our health in adulthood.

This article is about the reasons why deuterium is more prevalent in our diets and its negative impact on health and aging. Deuterium is a byproduct of the nuclear reaction that occurs when we use nuclear power to produce electricity. Nuclear power produces 10% of our electricity in the United States. Deuterium is a naturally occurring ‘heavy’ isotope found in drinking water, soil, plants and animals. It is not radioactive and is safe for humans but research has proven that it can lead to cardiovascular disease and pre-mature aging because the body cannot readily metabolize it.

too much deuterium is toxic

The problem is exacerbated by the fact that deuterium exists in greater quantities than other hydrogen isotopes in human cells. Deuterium is one of the most abundant isotopes in our bodies, but why? Deuterium is found in higher amounts in the food we eat due to how it sticks to water molecules. Water containing deuterium occurs naturally when water evaporates into the atmosphere and then cools down. Deuterium water is prevalent because it has a heavier weight than hydrogen containing water molecules.

GMO and Increasing Deuterium Levels

Deuterium is a natural variation of hydrogen and instrumental in the early years of life for development. The dichotomy of this substance referred to as heavy water, is that it is essentially poisonous to us later in life. This does not appear to align with nature, evolution or God’s design so what’s the real story here and why does deuterium lower our life expectancy?

It turns out once again, artificially modified foods, poor lifestyle and pollution come into play that were not a factor throughout civilization. Through these deuterium producing factors, the detrimental levels are raised just enough for a damaging level. It’s not as though at one time we had no deuterium in us and now it is overrunning our metabolisms but more of a tipping point. The once needed and required deuterium for growth went into the background and was no longer needed as we aged.

It was always there and remained but in modern times with the Glyphosate and severe lack of vitamin D factors in play, deuterium spiked to deadly levels! Whereas a level of 150 ppm or less in nature is normal, levels even slightly exceeding this number are not! Like a bug flying along minding his business. He is alive, alive, alive, dead as he hits your windshield! Nothing changed except your car suddenly got in his path. There is also the aging factor among us and a lessened ability to remove deuterium as we get older and one of many reasons that those in the know practice anti-aging lifestyles.

Deuterium is Bad for Adults

So let’s backtrack a moment to explain why deuterium is so bad for us as adults. Due to the added neutron to regular hydrogen, the atomic weight is doubled as mentioned. Hydrogen that is close to weightless, now has doubled and no longer has the same characteristics of standard hydrogen. Deuterium, heavy water, is slow and shuts down our mitochondria functioning capabilities along with our ability to produce ATP, the currency and source of the body’s energy.

It’s apparently like having your all star running back get injured and the substitute is fat Albert! Game over! Can you say chronic fatigue syndrome? We needn’t dissect it any further in this report as to how our mitochondrial functions slow down and simply realize that deuterium is bad news when there is too much in our system.

So what can we do to get our levels of this fat Albert substance lowered in our bodies? Here is a list of some methods that research has established so far in reducing deuterium in the body.

pure water on demand
low deuterium water on demand

High level deuterium foods to reduce or eliminate:

  • Fruits, starches, grains, legumes and high carb plants are rich in deuterium because plants store their deuterium in sugar. Fruit should be consumed only seasonally from your own local environment
  • Processed foods like bread, sugar, chips, cookies, trans fats, vegetable oils, etc., are high in deuterium because of processing with high deuterium water and ingredients.
  • GMO foods such as tomatoes, papaya, soy, corn, wheat and grains in general are high in deuterium.
  • Most supplements and meal replacements are high in deuterium because of processing with deuterium rich water and ingredients.
  • Grain-fed animals like beef, pork, and lamb are higher in deuterium than grass-fed animals.
  • Avoid Glyphosate at all costs! This garbage pesticide shuts down mitochondria and in turn, restricts our ability to flush deuterium from our bodies. In addition, it has been implicated in blocking the absorption of vitamin D as if we need to be further deficient in possibly the most important vitamin/hormone of all! Eating organic is a must and this still does not guarantee avoiding all spread of Glyphosate. We suggest doing more research on Glyphosate avoidance as this goes beyond the scope of this report.

Combining high carb foods with deuterium rich foods and sugars overloads the metabolism with deuterium, which exacerbates the heavy water level in our mitochondria.

On the flipside, the question is what foods should we consume that may deplete deuterium? Here are a few that have been proven to have lower amounts thus promoting optimal mitochondrial functioning:

Deuterium Depleted Foods:

  • Green plants and vegetables – the chloroplast depletes deuterium from green leafy plants and vegetables like broccoli, kale, spinach.
  • Nuts and seeds – deuterium depleted because of their low sugar and high-fat content
  • Grass-fed animals like beef, pork, and lamb due to consumption low deuterium diet.
  • Fish and eggs because of healthy fats. Cold water and ocean fish are especially lower in deuterium
  • Raw Dairy such as kefir, milk, and cheese are optimal due to low carb and high fat content.
  • Animal fats such as tallow, lard, ghee and butter are very low in deuterium because of their predominant carbon-hydrogen bonds.
  • Fats such as coconut oil, avocados, olives are low in sugar and high in fat content.

Stupid or Devious?

The revelation that consumption of fat is a deuterium killing method would blow most old school nutritionists and doctors minds, that is if they even knew what deuterium is. It appears that Keto may be a very good option for lowering deuterium and a viable choice for longevity after-all! The amazing thing is that the body makes 1.1 kg of deuterium depleted water for every kg of fat consumed!

During beta-oxidation or fat burning, the body creates its own deuterium depleted water! In ancient times, (my lifetime:)) humans likely derived most of their water from this process. This phenomenon can be seen in other animals like camels who don’t need to drink much water. Amazing stuff and who would have thought of asking for a side of fat with a fried lard butter dessert?

Deuterium depletes D3 absorption or conversion to its active state, calcidiol, or 25 (OH)D, in your liver. How it interferes is unclear and needs further researched however that it simply does have a mechanism that blocks D is all we require for this report. We have posted other articles on vitamin D that we recommend reading but the knowledge and science of D is still evolving. Thanks to subversive tactics from the AMA to FDA and other institutions along the way, vitamin D has been demonized to the detriment of millions if not billions of people that now suffer from deficiency of this master hormone.

A History of Medical Corruption

i will impart just a couple bits of trivia facts on D here for you. Back in the 1920s, the full awareness of D came into the public consciousness and supplemental D went crazy! They had vitamin D enhanced beer to hot dogs and this is a fact as hard as it seems! Some researchers calculated that the average intake of vitamin D was around 25 mg per day at that time.

Here is where it gets really crazy! Concurrently, our government and the health care industry had national plans to expand into thousands of hospitals and transition from house calls to hospitals. It was foreseen as a huge money making plan and all projections pointed to that desired outcome until the vitamin D discovery and push went wild!

What is the connection you ask? People stopped getting sick! Do your own research as this amazing vitamin that is really a hormone literally was curing all forms of illness and disease to the point that hospitals were empty! Many of you probably do not believe this but you are also the same people that believe the current jab is a vaccine and safe. So what did the government and people in charge decide to do with the hospital rollout plan?

Friends or Foes?

The same thing most psychopaths in charge have done throughout history and forge ahead with lies and deception by demonizing vitamin D and decrying how people should not go out in the sun! Full steam ahead with the hospital plans and fast forward one hundred years and behold how western medicine is not only helping people but killing us with deadly dna altering injections and drugs that never cure anything! Do I seem upset? You could say that for sure since I do my research and see how this country is being destroyed by the institutions that were supposed to be there to protect us!

The Hideous FDA

The FDA admittedly states that their recommendation is for addressing rickets/bone health only! That was a soft bone disease long ago believed to be irradicated with only the absolute minimum of vitamin D from sunshine.

Blood levels are calculated at nanogram’s per deciliter and the FDA minimum healthy level is 30 and above with eighty percent of the world outside of the equator below that number! The amazing thing is that the demonizers of D warn of toxic levels yet there has been virtually nobody in history that has overdosed with the exception of a handful of people with genetic issues or one woman that took over 100k IU’s per day for many months and developed toxic levels of calcium which went away in a few weeks after discontinuing D supplementation.

The Evil AMA, WHO and Bureaucrats Making Money from Illness

There is no upper limit and zero proof of any! Holistic doctors will often inject up to 1M IU in severely deficient patients. Several specialists are recommending a protocol that starts around 25k IU and leveling off at 100k IU to get D levels up to 100 or better. It has been found that taking low levels will never boost a deficient level person to optimal levels and even larger amounts sometimes take years to reach the optimum level.

Many doctors and researchers including Dr. Mercola believe getting D levels closer to the 100 range are optimal with some believing the magic number to be 125! The idea has been theorized that once the basics are covered in the 30 n/dl plus range, the subsequent higher levels of D can allow for more specific bodily functions and repairs that used to be attained with high D intake a hundred years ago.

This is no joke folks and do not let the IU hoax hold you back along with ignorant doctors. Do your own further research and get on board with therapeutic D levels and do not be afraid of sun bathing! Getting your D levels up will reportedly flush that deuterium right down the toilet!

Deuterium, Water and Vitamin D

Here’s the kicker! The AMA and others got together and changed the measurement of vitamin D from milligrams, mg, as everything else has been measured to International Units or IU’s just for D. What does this matter? Perception my friends and how reframing or recasting something can alter a viewpoint with very little effort.

We used to recast financials for purposes of loans, ratings, etc by simply accentuating the positives and downplaying any negatives and this is an accepted method of doing projections in business. In the case of IU’s vs mg’s, it simply makes the uneducated think of a dose in an entirely different light. You don’t even need to be considered uneducated because the moment the AMA changed the rating to IU’s, even doctors warned of overdosing on D.

Lower Vitamin D Levels = Higher Deuterium

The amazing thing is that the average person in the early 1920s consumed around 25 mg of D per day which was a relatively small amount compared with supplementation of most other vitamins and minerals. RDA of other vitamins can easily be in the hundreds of mg’s. So my point is to ask you, how many IU’s does 25mg equal? Unless you are familiar with these measurements that I am guessing well over ninety percent of the population isn’t, you might figure is could be relatively similar. Try one million IU’s is the relatively close equivalent of 25 mg’s!

That’s right, 1,000,000 IU’s is about 25 mg’s. Do you see how these bastards fooled an entire nation and how they do it over and over in differing ways ever since? So the RDA, recommended daily allowance, of vitamin D is currently 600 IU upped generously from 400 a couple years ago! Wow, sounds like quite a bit but is equal to far less than 1 milligram! Less than a fraction of what people were taking in one hundred years ago and not suffering from all the autoimmune issues, disease and illnesses we do today! It is no surprise that having 80 percent of the population estimated to be seriously deficient in D is happening!

The Past History of Water

Being around a long time has its benefits as you see trends and styles come and go. We always drank water when we got thirsty until one day sometime around the late 70s, early 80s, I recall suddenly seeing ads telling me that I needed to hydrate at least a half gallon of water per day. Bottled water hit the scene and the message was that we better carry a bottle of water around at all times or we could die of dehydration! We were informed that we no longer could judge thirst on our own because if we felt thirst, it was too late! Wow, how did we survive the millions of years before they told us this?

Suffice to say, I could see through this BS immediately. The unfortunate part is how our government allowed the water to become so polluted and spiked with chemicals so we actually had to buy bottled water or get a machine that filtered it.

Deuterium content of water increases depression susceptibility: The potential role of a serotonin-related mechanism

Environmental factors can significantly affect disease prevalence, including neuropsychiatric disorders such as depression. The ratio of deuterium to protium in water shows substantial geographical variation, which could affect disease susceptibility. Thus the link between deuterium content of water and depression was investigated, both epidemiologically, and in a mouse model of chronic mild stress. We performed a correlation analysis between deuterium content of tap water and rates of depression in regions of the USA. Next, we used a 10-day chronic stress paradigm to test whether 2-week deuterium-depleted water treatment (91 ppm) affects depressive-like behavior and hippocampal SERT. The effect of deuterium-depletion on sleep electrophysiology was also evaluated in naïve mice.

There was a geographic correlation between a content of deuterium and the prevalence of depression across the USA. In the chronic stress model, depressive-like features were reduced in mice fed with deuterium-depleted water, and SERT expression was decreased in mice treated with deuterium-treated water compared with regular water. Five days of predator stress also suppressed proliferation in the dentate gyrus; this effect was attenuated in mice fed with deuterium-depleted water.

Finally, in naïve mice, deuterium-depleted water treatment increased EEG indices of wakefulness, and decreased duration of REM sleep, phenomena that have been shown to result from the administration of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI). Our data suggest that the deuterium content of water may influence the incidence of affective disorder-related pathophysiology and major depression, which might be mediated by the serotoninergic mechanisms.

Getting Deuterium Out of Our Drinking Water

I don’t want to get sidetracked on water but will impart a couple of fascinating tidbits on you that tie into the deuterium issue. After researching water filters again a while back, I decided to go with a distiller machine this time. The removal of minerals initially steered me away from going this route years ago but after deep research, found that it is a non factor. The daily mineral requirements would take something like a couple hundred gallons of water as the equivalent and obvious that we do not get our nutrition from water.

With that knowledge, I was leaning heavily toward distilling but the clincher was when I ran across deuterium depleted water research. It turns out that this very expensive form of purified water is made through the distillation process! Don’t get too excited however because it is a crazy and time and energy consuming process and why it is extremely expensive.

My distiller will convert a little over a gallon and a half of tap water into very pure drinking water in about four hours. To get 120 to 130 ppm level deuterium water with a distiller, it takes about ten cycles to lower it to this range from around the standard 150 plus level! That’s around forty hours of distilling for a little over a gallon of water!

Yikes! I have considered doing it because there is the option to use small amounts of this depleted version with standard purified water to lower the deuterium a bit. The idea is either to drink seriously low level deuterium depleted water for a couple of weeks or a diluted level for a longer period of time to lower the overall deuterium level in the body.

Distilling Water Depletes Deuterium

Distilled water has less deuterium than other filtered water even after just one cycle but significant reduction takes several cycles as discussed. It appears that once you get your level down to an optimal number in combination with the anti deuterium diet and lifestyle, you can go on indefinitely at your lowered reset level. So maybe a couple marathon distillation runs may be worth the effort and also save the expense of buying.

The other tidbit in my research was listening to a doctor that was a deuterium expert say that drinking any more water than was absolutely necessary was one of the worst things we can do! I tried to find this research but will tell you that I definitely heard this clearly. Like the reference made about the camel, we can apparently make virtually deuterium free water through our liver and metabolic process internally!

This doctor claimed that drinking water was the worst thing we could do and it was obviously for the shock effect but also to make a point. He said that of course we should drink water but only when we are very thirsty and to never drink water otherwise! You will not hear the bottled water companies ever talking about this and probably never see them selling deuterium depleted water either!

Keeping Deuterium in Check

To summarize this into one basic recommendation is that you should consider implementing some of the foods and steering away from others in this report. One must consider the benefits in lowering deuterium through the ketogenic diet. I have tried keto for several months and will say that it has great potential. It is a fantastic reset diet for those suffering from autoimmune disorders and a great weight loss option. As an early adopter of this diet,

I can say that everyone should try it for themselves to see how they respond. We all need to be metabolically flexible in that we should consider rotating diets throughout seasons and life. I do not believe keto is the sole way to live indefinitely for my metabolism and probably most but it certainly has great benefits for the short and possibly medium term.

Deuterium was not on my radar when I initially tried keto but do not think that going off this diet after a few months would have been influenced by this knowledge. As a bodybuilder, fitness enthusiast for many decades, I found the extreme lack of carbs after a few months were affecting my strength and energy.

Keto will not supply enough electrolytes, especially Potassium and Magnesium and require supplementation. Carnivore is similar in that it can be ketogenic and also has great potential for lowering deuterium but like Keto, you will eventually need supplementation of electrolytes and vitamin C.

Low Carb Diets Lower Deuterium

I have cycled keto and carnivore variations off and on throughout the last few years and believe this to be optimal for me and by going off it for a while and consuming good carbs, I can maintain my glucose levels and strength much better. Check it out as there is no shortage of info online regarding keto and the peripheral foods to support this diet and lifestyle. I have yet to see the keto pushers talk about the deuterium factor but rest assured that they will promote the heck out of this once they know!

Bottom line: Avoid Glyphosate, eat deuterium depleted foods, consider distilling your water, try keto and get your vitamin D level checked with a simple blood test!
